Back in 2010...

the Board of Directors at Lyngblomsten made a decision to expand the efforts the organization was making to inspire and support ministries to, with, and for older adults. Previously, Lyngblomsten had been focusing on building up the older adult ministries of its own partnered churches, called corporate congregations, in and around St. Paul, Minnesota. This new directive allowed staff, in collaboration with the Lyngblomsten Senior Ministry Committee, to get creative and expand their passions for robust older adult ministry to any congregation. Anywhere.

Although it was never released publicly, the Senior Ministry Resource Network served as a test website to identify what older adult ministry leaders were looking for in an online resource.

Over the next couple of years...

senior ministry conferences were hosted and brand new ministries were created. While many of these events and new initiatives were met with welcome and praise, it also became clear that many older adult ministry leaders or those interested in becoming one, were often a lone advocate or organizer of such ministries in their churches. This realization, combined with the increasing availability of web-based technologies and the looming realities of the Age Wave, brought about an idea in 2011 to provide older adult ministry leaders with high quality and easily accessible resources digitally, 24/7.

After two years...

of extensive research, multiple website builds, and months of beta testing, the goal set forth in 2011 was accomplished in September 2013 in the form of the Older Adult Ministry Network.  The Older Adult Ministry Network featured a free weekly podcast, titled Ageless Faith, that aimed to encourage congregations to move "beyond the potluck (social activities only)  to a truly robust ministry encompassing spiritual growth, servant opportunities, and supportive services as well as social activities.

A year later in September 2014, the Older Adult Ministry Network was streamlined to focus solely on the production of podcast episodes. This change was accompanied by an extensive redesign of the website, podcast format and accessibility improvements, as well as a name change to Ageless Faith.

In the fall of 2014, the Older Adult Ministry Network's name was changed to be synonymous with an improved Ageless Faith podcast released every other week.
